Re PETA, I assume that the hawk pix are vintage (if not, say no more). When I was a kid in the 1950s and 60s, all hawks were shot on sight, no questions asked. It wasn't very sensible, but that was the rural culture.
If you're referring to the engraved woodchuck portrait, I would ask PETA gardeners/organic farmers to suffer a family of 'chucks in their gardens for just one week. It would be a life changing experience.... only critter I like less is the tomato horn worm!
