Ian Nixon Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 782 eastern Ontario, Canada	The Ithaca guns were smokeless compatable prior to the Flues. According to "The Ithaca Gun Company - From the Beginning" by Walter Snyder: The Lewis model (1901 - 1906) was introduced "to accommodate the new powders". Followed by the Minier model (1906 - 1908), followed by the Flues model (1908 - 1926). It's a fine book. Offered FWIW.
