John, I'm not sure why you would suggest that a public forum is not the best place to inquire about the whereabouts of a particular gun. People on here are constantly posting pics of their guns and postings on what they own. I'm not trying to track down a stolen shotgun in a recovery attempt. Just taking a longshot to solve a mystery as to what happened to a particular gun that was once in my family. I knew it was a longshot but I figured not too many eight gauge Westley Richards hammerguns ever came out of the Southern Illinois area and thought someone's mind might get jogged.
