Occasionally one reads a new topic by an unknown poster. It intrigues us all and we respond with lots of information.
Then all bad stuff breaks out. We have contributed to a scam.
Then, along comes another such and we respond. The original posting is legit and all good comes from it.
There is a way around the bad stuff. Private emails and private talks over the phone.
Make someone happy today. Make a call. Send an email.
