My post was an attempt to prod a particular member to contact PossomHunter about his grandfather's 8 gauge.
The references to scams was to agree that some inquiries are simply to learn where something is and then pay a visit. Others are a sincere interest in touching the past.
The reason I told PossomHunter that this is not the place to ask is the fact that no one, in his right mind, will answer his question publicly.
Thus my covert post to one member. It is not my business to call or write that member. His privacy is his business.
