Do any of you have any recommendations for a gunsmith who can re-solder a pair of barrels for a nice old Ithaca? One barrel has come loose from the rib for about 15-16 inches or so. Thanks for any tips! Gary

One of the most famous doublegun shops in the country subs out their rib relays to these folks.... http://www.giacomosporting.com/Expect to have a reblack as well. I've had two relays done and several reblacks, which are superb.

I've also heard that Giacomo does good rib work. If the barrels are damascus, consider using a smith that does the type of damascus refinishing that you are expecting or have them sent specifically to the refinisher of your choice after re-laying is completed. Who refinished steel barrels would be less of an issue to me.
