while not a problem in TX and since i don't hunt much anyway it's moot but that's my next experiment with it. i've got an old weaver side mount base that's a perfect fit and plan to mount a 1x scope on it and run some slugs thru just to see what happens.
it's all an experiment; just to do something i've not done before. got a buddy w/ one of the lee slug molds that throws slugs for loading into plastic wads just like regular shot loads. may be fun. would probably be a good hog gun for TX.
Jim, i've got an uncle, a cousin (his son) and a shooting buddy who are all left handed and have made do with r/h guns including b/a's for so long they don't feel comfortable with a true left handed gun. told the buddy i could reverse the safety on a model 11 so it'd work l/h and he said he'd rather leave it since he's used them the other way so long it'd mess him up.
