I always wondered about that too. Then I realized it is near the Grand Canyon. It dawned on me about the great Evil Knieivel who jumped the Grand Canyon on a rocket powered motor cycle. So, it is among the big boulders, due west of the Painted Dessert. Hence- W Kniei..............Denny Crane

as much as i hate to add to a page of threads not addressing the question, jimmyw, evel knievel never jumped the grand canyon on a motorcycle. the US parks service wouldn't let him. he had to buy a section of the snake river in ID and attempted to jump that but didn't make it.
