The barrel of my Pennsylvania rifle (muzzleloader) is a "swamped" barrel like those; it adds a bit more grace in handling than if it were of a steady diameter throughout. So I don't find the barrels objectionable at all. I have less tolerance for the shape of the trigger guard and none at all for the single trigger- surely sufficient cause for criminal prosecution of anybody who would leave off the proper number of triggers on a SXS double!
