Jim and JC, thank you for the help. No, the gun does not have a through-bolt (the stock is held on by the 2 tang screws). Jim, my intention was to convey annoyance, not snottiness (is that a word?). When I saw you had posted, I was excited at the prospect of some help. Then when I read what the post said, I was disappointed and thought it sort of smart alec and perhaps somewhat condescending, but not at all useful to answering my question. Now I realize you were being humerous. Sometimes it's really hard to get the intentions of what people write on the internet! I've enjoyed your other comments on this board.
