Being a Pitts owner, I found this online article about Bill Hempel's RC giant scale (50%) Pitts fascinating.

About 6 yrs before I bought my first double, I bought this plane. That was 1978 ish. That's me with the camo hat and chips in my hand, Conan, in front of me, and Too Tall Ed over on the bike. This was taken after I landed on a desert road (probably not so legal) near Randsburg, CA (big chukar hunting area) to meet my friends. I think it went something like: cars, hunting, airplanes,, hunting, girls, RC airplanes, hunting, girls, horses, girls, doubles, or thereabouts.

Oops, girl and airplane...wife now.

If you managed to hang onto the girl and the plane in the second photo, you did well.

Rem,
I held onto the girl, the Pitts, and the C-206. I did sell the C206 in 1990, the Pitts is on the block now, and my wife is looking into renting me out.

Well, in terms of which of the three to keep the longest, I'd say you chose wisely.

There was an incident years ago when an F15 lost most of its wing. The flight computer essentially compensated for the lost of lift, the pilot was able to wrestle it back and land. I think it was a couple of Israeli AF guys dogfighting and at the merge, they were a little close. I don't remember what happened to the other plane, but they both lost lots of metal!

Oh, here it is. F15 vs A4:
