C.E. DeLong of Hot Springs, Arkansas,had three single trigger patents -- 670,100, 690,243, and 699,291 -- where the drawings were on a Remington action, and 690,243 was assigned to Remington Arms Co.

E.D. Fulford of Utica, New York, had three single trigger patents -- 704,025, 749,687, and 751,979 -- where the drawings were on a Remington action.

E.H. Thorneley of Ilion, New York, had two single trigger patents -- 568,285 and 673,803 -- where the drawings were on a Remington action.

G. E. Witherell of Hartford, Connecticut, had five single trigger patents -- 697,061, 767,537, 808,890, 808,964, and 836,167 -- all assigned to Remington Arms Co. though the first and last appear to be drawn on a Syracuse Arms Co. action.

In addition to guns found with "factory" experimental triggers there have been several companies that offered aftermarket single triggers -- Philadelphia Single Trigger Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Lancaster Arms Co. of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Miller single Trigger Mfg. Co. of Millersburg, Pennsylvania.
