A post here reminded me of an incident I experienced in a local gun shop. An elderly guy and his wife came in and she was IMPLORING him to buy another gun. As it turned out, they had been married 47 years and she was his 3rd wife. 3rd time's a charm, I guess!

Same here. My wife actually encourages me to buy them since she knows I don't usually lose money when I sell them. Jim

Well, my wife is almost that good. She can't tell one shotgun from another.
"No, that is not a new shotgun!"
Of course its not new - made in 1905.
Best,
Mike

I'm on my first wife....when it's gun time she doesn't complain. The five figure guns get her a little ansty but I usually just remind her that they have done better than her stock portfolio and that settles it.

My wife told me years ago, "Either all those guns go or I go!!" I've now been divorced since 1983. Hey!! Come to think of it my 25th anniversary comes up next month!! Maybe I'll go out and buy a gun to celibate. I never married again. I wasn't silly enough to shoot myself in the foot twice!! Now I am..... retired....a bum....and I answer to no one. Just what I always wanted. But it took years to get it..............Denny Crane

Jimmy you don't have to be celibate to buy a gun. Glen

Jimmy, In some instances buying too many new guns might CAUSE one to be celibate!
May God bless America and those who defend her.
