Red,
I'm almost ashamed to admit it...A good friend, the head luthier at Gibson Acoustic Guitar, travels the world buying wood for instruments. He gave me (Yes, gave me!!) two 2x2x24" sticks of richeously black ebony. I think he said they were bassoon blanks(?) given to him by a German wood merchant.
I was down to my last forend size piece, and had no idea where to get more. I've always been very lucky in obtaining jet black ebony, I believe the last I bought from Jim Preslik a dozen or more years ago.
So I don't really have a supplier, but just may have a lifetime supply...

BTW: the fellow I'm building the Hagn for just stopped by (from Wisconsin) on his way elk hunting. He was pretty pleased to see the stock, and absolutely delighted to see his rifle on this post!
