So long as you merely harbor but don't restore, a greater DOG-lover than yourself will come along to relieve you of your burden. Broke down, parts in a medicine bottle, stock here, barrels there is not a value-added proposition. I have found the restoration work done by my predecessors much cheaper than my own. I have a Philly Fox SW, recased, restocked by previous "care-provider" in crotch black and bt forend, high dimensions. $840. I also had one edging toward parts gun. $299. Sold it for $300.
