Here's a nicely done forearm escution and wedge on an original 1878 Borchardt Long Range Rifle. It gets a tad tricky though when checkering up to the edges of that border. It still looks nice even though there are a few small run overs. This particular rifle recently sold in the USA for $50,000,00
