The paneled and engraved, factory DST, Borchardt above is by George Schoyen. Note the "chatter mark" matting on the barrel. Stocks are modern.

I also have rounds barrels by Pope (Jersey City) and by A W Peterson where the outside of the barrel is left with machining marks to create a non-reflective surface. Not nearly as elegant as proper matting, but shooters usually value function way above form!
