I was hoping we could get into some good Model 42 discussion. Guess I overreacted. The little insert for the Cutts is a neat idea except that the noise is one of the charms of a .410 Cutts gun. Skeet shooters who complain about the Cutts know nothing about skeet. Skeet shooters were winning with Cutts guns in the thirties and they are winning with the Cutts today. The Cutts is not obsolete, it is still in widespread use. Skeet is shot with ear protection. Unlike trap, where shooters stand side by side, skeet shooters stand well behind the shooter on the station and should be quite oblivious of the sound of the gun being shot. You are dealing with whiners who don't know anything about the game.
