rgh-well said. I am not a clays shooter, nor have I ever owned a .410, but if either: Warren Buffett makes be his sole inheritor of his estate, or the Publisher's Clearing Haus prize patrol actually gives me the big check, and $ were no object, I might like to own a .410 skeet gun- Not a Purdey O/U or a Parker CHE- but hands down, a Model 42. Of course, I love Model 12's like Hillary Clinton loves being back in "The Potomac Loop", so that's why I'd choose one. I did buy a Model 12 28 gauge- a pre WW11 by both serial number and the earlier 2 and 7/8" chambering-it's a field gun but with a 28" WS-2 choked solid rib barrel. I am guessing that is about modified choke. Plan to use it for doves next Fall.. Best deal on 28 gauge shells? Anyone have a suggestion- Cabela's and GM retailing them for almost $13.50 box-heard Fiocchi makes some "economy loads" for the 28.. Oh, I have a Cutts Comp tube in .410- as new- perfect threads- but it is Full Choke-someone with access to a machine shop could open it up to Mod. I suppose. RWTF
