There appeared recently in the British sporting Press a statement that carried the following message. Scotland Yard is pressuring the gun trade in the U.K.to refrain from exporting guns unless they meet the same pre-sale proof standards applicable in the U.K. The article went on to say; Scotland Yard was making this request because an accident involving an "out of proof"shotgun that was exported from England to the U.S.A.
Regret, I could not trace the article, has anyone else knowledge of this situation?
