Thanks Jim. I have the gun apart and the stock is definitely a complex problem, but like you, I have seen some miracle repairs to worse. But I would consider a replacement, as the finished product would be a very nice SxS. The bulge is really only noticable when you hold it in raking light and run your fingers over it, but it is nevertheless a bulge. I will post some pics when I have the innards cleaned up.
