Any of y'all notice there's something awfully strange about the rib extension or third bite extension on the barrels? You can see the hazy outline of the rib mixed in with it. Soprt of a ghost shadow. Methinks this photo has been touched up a bit....
That's the Purdey nose or modified Purdey nose. It's not stocked to the fences and maybe crossedchisles can say how many or if there were any Purdeys not stocked to the fences. It is more Germanic and resembles a Sauer Model 15 or 16E with the Herkules-Verschluss-193044 trademark/modified Purdey-nose/Kamzapfenverriegelung which was advertised in the mid to late 1930s. Model 10s boxlocks also had a modified Purdey nose.
