So if the chokes are .025 and .038 I can assume that they are originally tight-modified and tight-full assuming that the bores have not been opened creating tighter chokes. But could they equally be .015 and .025 and still be Mod. and Full per Foxes original boring? What I'm trying to find out is what is the allowable "range" that Fox might have used in a 16 gauge.
Mark, based on the two 16ga Foxes from which I took measurements, I think it's safe for you to assume that your gun is an original M/F. I don't think Fox would have treated 015/025 as M/F on a 16, at least not from my measurements (and from those others like James have posted). And I agree with James that bore diameter on Fox 16's was quite a bit tighter than the usually accepted standard of somewhere in the 662-667 range.
