Palunc I guessit depends on how far you want it bent,& how the grain is. Only Gun I had bent was a Francotte that needed about 3/8" cast off. Fairly close to me in nearby MA, Mike Orlen did a great job. I would venture to say that if the amount is on the small side..say 1/4-1/2 inch or less your chances with a good Bender would be very good.Bigger amounts would, I imagine increase chance of spring-back .....or the dreaded SNAP!!!! Can't help in your neck O woods
What dimention & how much change do you need? Cheers Franc

Thanks for the info. I have had choke work done by Mike Orlen and find him a great guy. I would be interested in talking to him about doing this if someone could give me contact info. The gun is a Hussey and I am guessing it has about a 1/4 or little more of cast off. Anything he could take out would be great and help my shooting tremendously. I understand they soak the stock in oil to soften. Does it stain the stock?

Mike did my RBL 28 gauge. Turn around time was quick. The stock was bent for drop and cast and the finish was never altered. Mike's work is first class.

Mr. Moe is quick so you can expect your work back well within your lifetime or possibly within the week. I haven't had a stock bent by Mike but based on the one I had bent elsewhere, I'd suggest you approach this with realistic expectations and ask questions as it's entirely possible to get some markoff or printing of the vise jaw pads into the finish of the stock head and possibly some discoloration. Perhaps nothing that won't compound out. Haven't experienced the ultimate evil of the two piece stock but that is a possibility to consider also. I haven't heard of anyone who will accept the liability for that eventuality.

I have had him do stock bending, choke alterations and barrel honing. All 1st Class and quick. I mean speed of light quick in the gunsmithing business.

Mike is unbelievable in his quality and speed. To quote his email from this past Monday. I got the barrels Saturday, "....it arrived Saturday, was done Sunday, and will ship today......ups tracking number: 1zxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
That gentlemen, is the type of service you just don't find often enough.
