I had a pre-war one of these in 220 Swift and so accurate. Dated I think around 1935. Had Not English Make Stamped on it and I sold it thirty years ago to a fried who still has it. Fitted case as well.
The crazy thing is I was at an auction in London and I was bidding on a cased and scoped 6.5 x 54 Mannlicher which I won and it was only when I went to pay for the Mannlicher that I found out the Winchester came with it.It had come from the estate of a Colonel in the British Army and the two rifles were sold as one lot. I have often thought if you could only have two rifles what a good pair these two made.
