Hey, J.B., one of my pet peaves is people posting eye candy without posting the caliber! Those ctgs. LOOK like '06s, but could ya tell us or show the whole ctg? (They might be the apparently now-despised "Super 30"!).
I for one wouldn't kick a 300 H&H out of bed....How the hell many of these "new" 300 mags do we really need, anyway? Most people only need one 300--a 300 Savage. The rest could probably "make do" with an H&H and some rapid fire practice, which would be one hell of a lot "cheaper and funner" than a new "short action" rifle. (Isn't shooting more fun than buying? There must be something wrong with me....end rant).
ANY high-condition pre-64 Model 70 is a gem; enjoy it in the new year!
