This procedure is covered VERY superficially in Frank de Haas' books, but, as always, the devil is in the details and Frank doesn't show the details or even talk about them much. This is the original Ballard design and can be changed to a more conventional (and much easier to accomplish) style if wanted, but then the details wouldn't be Ballard! BTW Glenn's installation looks a lot cleaner than mine, that's one advantage of having machine tools and being expert in their use. As I've said before, every single item I've received from Glenn's Mook Machine has been superb.
