I'm mostly a lurker here but I really enjoy this board and have found it to be a wonderful source of information. I bought my first double several years ago from a member here. A 1929 Ithaca NID from Russ Ruppel. I was fortunate to have him give me a guided tour of his collection which has to be seen to be believed. It's my favorite quail gun. Anyway for quite a while I have been lusting for a damascus double that could still be used. With appropriate loads of course. I'm kind of hung up on Ithacas but I might consider another make if it was attractive to me. I was kind of thinking of a Flues or Lewis but I don't really know much about the Lewis model. Anyway I have a Browning Citori in very good condition with a case that I almost never use and I honestly don't really like that I would consider for trading material. What could I expect to find? Any tips or suggestions? Or am I just crazy?

reminds me of entering a feed barn at night. you may hear a few rats scurrying around when you first open the door....
