Ed1 ---- If you'll notice, I have only posted 1579 post to pa24's 75 post. Obviously I have been here a few more years than him & don't know him as well as you seem to think. Now, If you'll slow down and Try to get your facts straight, pa24 doesn't do CCH, Mike Hunter offers this service (see above post). And, while his work is the real McCoy I haven't sent anything to him & have been using the same shop for this service for the past 8 years.
I have obviously allowed myself to get sucked into this bottomless quagmire and refuse to discuss this with you further. To wit, I have elected to use the delete button offered on this bbs so that any further post by you on any subject will not show on my monitor. You sir have been deleted.

Hi Mr. Mike. Yeah, you hit the nail on the head, ny clientel would raise hell with me if I returned an engraved firearm to them with anything but a true color cased finish. I have never seen any of your work as you have only posted three times but feel sure the members of this board would appreciate seeing your work. Why not pleasure us with some pictures ASAP. I'll look forward to seeing same.

Hi Ken Yes new to this forum, just kind of got sucked into the Flame CCH topic. I’ve been doing the restoration thing for about 15 years or so, I’m better known for working on Colts & Winchesters, somewhat known in that crowd. Generally don’t do much with the old doubles, as Colts & Winnies keep me pretty busy. Make a lot of BBLS for the old Winnies, correct rifling, roll marks, etc…about as correct as they can be. There is some pics on my site; not many, I have strict confidentiality policy, I don’t talk about my customers or their guns, so I generally don’t take pics of them. quality case coloring should provide cosmetic enhancement without endangering gun integrity or shooter safety....be careful if you are contemplating sending your prized shotguns receiver to a high heat bone charcoal guy. he is going heat it up to around 1600 degrees F... make sure that you get it in writing, that if the receiver warps in the heating and tempering process or that if it cracks after firing, then the case colorer will assume full financial responsibility for the destruction of your gun and/or your personal injury. ed1
