send me an email and I'll see if I can help you with the camera settings, lighting and such.
I'm using one of the better Nikon non-slr cameras that probably has similar programs and settings to yours.
some of it is doing a bit of informed trial and error to nudge the camera to do it "your way".
Softly diffused light and a solid mount (like a tripod or similar) are really important.
There are obviously many people here who are much better at this than i am but I should still be able to help you out.
