I've been getting more and more interested in vintage sporting rifles, which then leads to side interests in vintage sights and scopes. So when I can, I've been buying Lyman Alaskans, sometimes buying old marginally done sporterized rifles with nice scopes so that I could put the scopes on better period rifles. I've got a couple of Lyman Alaskans and some Norman Ford Texans. My question is, does anyone have disassembly instructions for these? Some of these have rings on, that require the scope to be disassembled to remove the old rings and put on the new.
