There are a lot of connect-the-dots with this outfit. The action was made about the time the barrel was made and it's not listed in the DCM book. Murphy must have had some pull with both Springfield and Pope to have them so close together. Pope was backed up with work for months if not years. I have not even started looking for Mr. Murphy but I figure he died around 1938.
