I use mineral spirits. Turp would probably work too.

I've used Mineral Spirits and it worked fine.

Turps smells better, and gives more working time in hot weather.

Here is a link to the msds for tru oil. It is 56% mineral spirits, 11% linseed oil, and 33% "modified oil". tru oil msds
