years ago i read in english magazine that when it comes to their guns in some cases the name used to account for about 80% of gun value.
it seems little has changed just compare new watson bros o/u to its purdey counterpart. purdey is like: patek philippe, cartier, rolls royce, gucci,.....my ole' pal used to buy fine italian shirts for $450 when they could be had for about $75. the difference is $75 one would not have gucci sticker on it. it's much the same with shotguns.
