MP, Are you referring to ".25-Caliber Roberts" per Ned's article in the March '28 RIFLEMAN ? Good shooting.
Roberts wrote in an article or in one of the letters to a friend that his friend Fred Sage had as much to do with the development of the cartridge but at Whelen's suggestion they name it after Roberts.
Fred Sage was the one who got Niedner and William Stolley, the owner of NRC to not only introduce the cartridge but pay for a good part of the tooling. Today Fred Sage is a little known footnote to history.
