Gary, a Valmet is pretty crude compared to any of Adolph's work, but they take a "lickin and keep on tickin" (or is that "Tikka-ing"?). I have a Savage/Valmet 2400 in the same combo you have. Heavy but deadly, and never has had a hitch for years, even in minus degrees; same for my Savage/Valmet 333 12 mag. Got both cheap from a gunshop in Idaho that was going under. Neither is a good gun for long miles over steep terrain, tho. Maybe I could get a bearer....
