Gary, one of my grandfathers had a Belgian (Peiper) Cape gun that he carried on several trips thru Panama to Columbia (he was a geologist who specialized in finding water in places where there wasn't any). It was a .44-40WCF (marked .44 Largo, which is the Spanish name for the WCF) x 2" .410. He always called it his "vampire bat gun." Not sure what he actually used it for; maybe he liked it because he always carried a top break S&W DA .44WCF. I've used .444 Marlin cases to make the .410 shells--loaded 'em with black powder. .410 tube is cylinder bore.
