OP Gordon W Member Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 59 Ohio	I have a Cresent .410 and am trying to find out more about the gun and the company. The ser# is 3275. On bbl is "not for ball" and on sideplate is "Quail Hammerless". About all I know is that they were taken over by Stevens.

popplecop Sidelock Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 578 Centeral Wis.	I've had 2 410s 0ver the years. One with hammers and one hammerless. The orginal chambers were for 2.5" shells, and I belive that that5 is the only chamber lenght they manufacture. Shotguns manufactured by Cresent under various names is very long. They would put anyones name on them that ordered enough. All SxSs I've handled have been guns with sideplates.
