Well, it ain't a Dodo ;-)

Wait until you see some of the other art deco graphics, many reminiscent of Egyptian design in my view, that are going to decorate this gun. Its going to be a magnificent piece of work and very unique.

Cheers

If my wife sees this one she'll want to by it as Art Deco is her favorite style. To me anyway this is a proper motiff as Art Deco was the fashionable design form at the hight of Fox's popularity. Just a thought here but how about having Ken incorporate some platinum perhaps as an inlay as platinum was the predominant precious metel during this period. It will be interesting to see the finished product.

Oh, the pain. What to do with my old 20 ga. Sterlingworth that my dad bought new in 1929 and passed on to me? Have it restored to like it was when Dad bought it or use it as a platform for an upgrade like Ken can do. It's a tough choice.

Yes. It's an eagle--inspired by the eagles on the Chrysler building in NY. Ken & I felt the shape was very complimentary to the shape of the "cheeks" on the Fox, and he made appropriate adjustments to have it fit perfectly.Part of our philosphy was to find Art Deco designs that seemed to be motivated by the shapes of the various "canvas" areas of the receiver--thus the shells on the breech balls. More to come as work progresses.

Bill, I can't find the F grade Fox you were talking about. What issue of DGJ are you referring too?
