Can anyone tell me if the RBL 12 gauge still has the lazer checkering? Some photos I have seen show black checkering, others regular checkering.

CSMC had a passel of RBL's at the Pheasant Phest this past weekend in Madison, WI all those I had looked at there, including the 12's, appeared to be laser checkered.

CSMC advertises that the Checkering and Engraving is by laser.
I have a RBL-12 on order which should be delivered in late April... I'll post photos when received.

I spoke to one of CSMC sales staff about eight months and was informed that all RBL's are laser checkered. I do not believe that has changed.

MarkOue, May I ask what grade of wood you ordered? My concern is that if you order a nice stick of wood, any beauty of the wood will be offset by the black checkering. Any thoughts?
