I just ran across this vintage cleaning tool I've had for many a year. The box is marked Bridgeport Gun Company but most of the rest of the label is hard to make out. If you'll notice in the top picture the tool is the exact size of a 12 ga. shell with a screw on attachment for a cleaning rod. As you'll note in the bottom picture these spring metal fingers are pushed out as the tool goes down the barrel. I expect this worked very well in the days before plastic shot cups.
