All brass shells can have their rims readily modified to fit the pin-fire chamber. It's iffy on others as to whether it can be done without cutting through the thin metal head. I did have the instructions for making these from all brass shells, not sure I could find them now. Essentiall one turned a steel rod for a light press fit into the primer pocket & before inserting cut a seat in one side for a small pistol primer & a hole drilled into the end connecting to the primer seat. The hole for the pin is drilled through on side of case at an angle & of course the primer seat has to be pressed in to line up with the hole. The primer can be set in with a pair of tweezers. I couldn't stand $35.00 a case no matter how long they lasted, especially if I wanted to take it on a dove shoot. The hulls in the above post did not have a primer pocket, they were obviously lathe turned with a depression for seating the cap holder, when you note how it was seated an existing primer pocket would remain open.
