Campbell's 1885 book has an original .25-35 saddle carbine with a factory 15" barrel. Kick factor would probably be OK, but what about the blast? Nobody used ear protection back in the bad old days! How many horsies would stand still when you touched off that little firecracker?
Mr. Steele, I quite agree about the potential for organ/action donation from those Miroku carbines. Maybe I could slip one of those tracking chips into the .45-70 at the shop and then track the owner down when the gun stops moving (in a safe or closet) after a year or so. Make him an offer of a few $$ plus a few Vicodin for his shoulder joints?
