I recently saw one of the Miroku/Win "saddle carbines" in .45-70. If ever a rifle deserved to be called a "single shot," that is it--one shot and it will go on the wall or in the safe forever! Many folks can't stand the recoil of a .45-70 Ruger #3, which has a lot more meat on it than this Japanese job. (There's a reason "real" Win 1885 carbines are mostly .44WCF or smaller....it's called physics).
