A local shop has a A.H. Fox 12 ga. double that has engraving, ejectors, double triggers and nice no dents or pitting Krupp steel barrels. Their asking price is $695. Now the bad news is that the fore arm is some home made piece of junk but it looks like all the forearm iron is there. the butt and barrels have not been cut. The buttstock has pretty nice wood but it has an old Remington buttplate. The right ejector dosen't work. Overall it looks like a used but not abused gun other than the forearm. What I'm wondering is how to tell the grade, The engraving looks like an L.C. Smith ideal grade but a little more detailed, kind of a floral pattern, no engraving on the barrels. How hard would it be to find an ejector forearm that could be fitted? and does it sound like it may be worth the asking price? Thank you.
