One time I bought a Fred Adolph catalog and this picture was between the pages of the catalog. No, it's not a Fred Adolph rifle.
I'm more interested in what others see in these pictures and not so much who the maker was. I do know the maker and if you do lets not share that info for a while. Just tell me anything you can about the rifle or the person who made it.

For a custom gun there's no grip cap and the trigger guard doesn't look slimmed down at all. Smooth bolt knob is functional.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

I'd venture that the two panel checkering on the forearm is a clue to ths stocker's identity.

Looks like a Shellhammer stocked 03, possibly when at Neidner.
Best, Roger

We don't need to know the maker at this time, just tell me how this maker is different than others. Not Shelhamer or Niedner.

He does and I think that's very unusual, I can't remember anyone else doing this. I think this is some very early work and as I progress I'm going to try to show how his work evolved. I feel I have not been doing a good job when trying to show folks how to ID work that may not be marked with the makers name. This is an attempt to try to learn what people see when they look at a custom rifle.
