Raimey, I like the thought of your reply- We have all heard of the "Don't buy a Monday assembly line car"- Many workers "In the day" had hangovers, problems with their foreman (I'll bet Gottleib Anchutze was a "bear" at Parker Bros.)and could have even mis-read stamps- worn down 8 as a 3- inverted a 6 into a 9, as does my 5 year old Grandson when we play "War"--I'd like to see a book about the human aspects of American double gun production, men and files so to speak.

As far as "counterfeiting", legit gunsmiths like Doug Turnbull will always advertise their "upgrades" as just that. Wish I could afford one. RWTF
