Pete et al,
I found the gun just this past weekend at a gunshow. I paid a "fair" good price which was warrented by the gun's condition. It is exquisite!!! It has both triggers with set, ends of both top and botton rib are engraved, most screws appear unturned, case color is about 80%, blue is 90%, wood is outstanding with original finish, bores are perfect. Butt Plate has been atacked by worms but this makes me feel "vintage". I will be getting the provenance in writing from the seller. It was liberated after WWII and brought back to the US.
I wish someone could tell me what the variety of proof marks mean. I have been able to find only one.
Soon I will attempt loading and shooting. After that It will be used for hogs and deer in Texas if I can make it shoot.
