IMHO Unless this gun is a great deal price wise and I am betting it isn't, the work and the cost required to bring it back to original condition/caliber would be more than it would cost to buy a similar gun in original condition. I have been collecting pre-war custom gunmakers for years and the one thing I have learned is buy excellent ORIGINAL condition, it is much cheaper than a fixer upper!
