Your mention of "red Toned" stocks got me thinking. Got red stock off a czech VZ24. Aside from a few minor bumps and bruises and some dark brown painted on it. It is the reddest stock I have ever seen.When I get the time and money will look for a nice czech VZ24 action and have installed a kongberg (norwegian) 308 target barrel.The barrel was purchased from sportsmans guide about two years ago.These barrels were made by kongberg to be installed on german K98's and used for match shooting.As for sights a lyman 48 and a globe front sight will complete the package.I have another veteran VZ 24 stock that has been around the block and even so the red is easily visible.
